Gaisberg Uncorked
The wines from Gaisberg in the Straßertal have already been named among the world’s best white wines several times.
Now, the region’s initiative Gaisberg Uncorked wants to put the collective focus on the mountain and sixteen vintners based on it. We designed the positioning, the complete branding, from bottle to social media design and the associated imagery.
The focus of the Gaisberg Uncorked brand is “Die Gaisbergerin”, the first jointly vinified wine from the sixteen Gaisberg winemakers.
Through portraits photographed by Philipp Horak, the winemakers are presented as a community. Building on this, the winemakers themselves contributed ideas for fictional characters that should represent ‘Die GaisbergerIn’. These ideas can be found as illustrations on the bottle’s labels. In order to avoid being in competition with one of the wineries, the branding completely breaks away from traditional ideas and discovers the mountain as a leitmotif. With a combination of red and orange as key colors, the branding establishes itself outside of the traditional ways and with its bars and spaces, the typography symbolizes a possible opening and closing and thus picking up on the original idea of Gaisberg Uncorked.
